  • Just about any model SonicWall device can be upgraded to the latest 5.6 FW. This firmware provides more security. However with most DNS servers, they build tables of every IP address associated with the website. If a FW Admin is doing thier job, they have this covered.

SonicWall is the only FW available now with application control, so try to get to a website, you might be able to ping it but thats it. I can set the bandwidth for application to just 1bps.

  • @SecurityPro2704 i know this is just a way, if the admin is stupid like mine. and this way you will not get in trouble. and if the sonic wall is outdated this works, with the old FW from about 4-5 years ago.

P.s. This video was from a long time ago, i was like 13 at the time. now i am taking I.T. classes and im getting the hang of networking and i understand this.

Thanks for leaving a comment and not being rude about it,

  • when they block a site they block the site and all that remains of the site

  • @syorpheus i know this is for a really crappy sonic wall, it is something to try. and this was a long time ago.

i had a out dated sonic wall running on the most security unstable operating systems available (vista)

i understand that this isnt hacking, but if your network administrator is stupid enough to forget to block the whole site, take advantage of it.

  • Your not hacking through a sonicwall firewall, you are just bypassing the webfilter by not using DNS but rather just the public IP address. If you school network administrator was doing his job he\she would see the traffic going through the firewall by ip address then turn off IP browsing. Just my thoughts...

  • @jamesdtackett i know it is just a way to get past the dang filter i know it isnt hacking it is lamens terms, this was last year before i hardly knew anything about computers
