The E30 is a fanstastic handling car. I have an 89 325is almost stock but with some performance upgrades like the ECU chip. I also went with the Signature Motoring performance intake for about $180. Adds around 9HP on the dyno, great sound, and the best performance upgrade for the money.
-Adds 9-11 HP
-Never replace filter again (K&N)
-GREAT SOUND
-Installs in maybe 30-45 min. K&N filter lasts a lifetime.
After that I'd recommend a performance exhaust...
