Premium Beer IS anything over 5% a.v.b. Don't let the bastards tell you anythig else! This used to be a decent beer back in the 80's, when it was available in Indian Restaurants with the a.b.v. well over 5%. That was before the Yanks ruined it.

being born in India, I wanted to love this beer. Unfortunately i did not. I think its ok to have beside a spicy traditional indian meal like Tandoori Chicken, but just by itself at a bar.... its not really my thing. Perhaps the green bottle had something to do with, I wouldn't mind trying it again

I had this in a brown 24 oz. bottle a few minutes ago. I think mine must have been sitting on the shelf for a while, because this has to be one of my worst beer experiences. It had a garbage-like aroma to it, and the taste was very watered down and off-putting. I love lagers, especially pale lagers. But I picked mine up from a gas station, so I'm not so confident the beer I bought was even remotely fresh.

i guess i should mention that when i first tried this beer, i was still new to drinking beer. now, almost 15 years later, my palate has grown quite a bit and I'm not as turned off to bitter beers anymore. i'd say your review definitely has me wanting to try it again
