Protei-5 Quarry Tests

Video clips from the second quarry test at Dutch Springs in Bethlehem, PA. This DPV is a soviet constructed vehicle, the only one known in the US.
High torque and thrust, with ample battery power, it has yet
to be tested to the limits. The newly wired batteries are Enersys SLA 12 volt 35 aH each in parallel, so 70 aH total. The handlebar up front is an add on designed by the owner, for ease of handling and to mount camera and lights later. Total weight 175 lbs on land, trimmed to just slightly positive in fresh water. Aquired in Decemebr 2007, it was manufactured in 1970, and was never wet until March 2008.
