  • That is so great!

  • First ever ladies talk show..I watched it every day in the 1960's

  • This is quite funny. Could anyone, by chance, have some old clippings of Virginia's show "Girl Talk?"

  • I found the story on a website called :

NBC Radio "Monitor" - Broadcasting 101

As for the tape with the longer version, I got it years ago. I think it was part of the Naked Microphone set from Radio Yesteryear.

  • @josiemax

what online sight did you find this on?

  • what books do you all get this information from? Because I have 3 different versions of this blooper, none makes sense. after this ends there is more of just her laughing and trying to say something...you dont hear people in the background.

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen Mike Wallace did get her back. At a luncheon, he asked for her opinion on some scripts. She would barely glance at them, making small comments about what she liked, or which one was better. Wallace then told her he had been handing her them same piece of paper for a 1/2 hour. What was written on it made no sense. The others at the table were quite amused. I have this on audio cassette.

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen Virginia is "answering he mail" & is reading a letter from Mrs c.s. who writes "her husband was not coming home and giving her the marital devotions. Perhaps this is a sign of sterility or...Now listen Mike Wallace, you son-of-a-bit*h! Mike Wallace trys to cut away to music, but she says"No, I will continue" and then loses it. Mike Wallace stormed off the set.

  • @davidslink2you

is this on video? where is all this information coming from?

  • 0:28 it is edited it is supposed to say "Now listen mike wallace, you son of a bitch, you have been doing this..."
