USS Cassin Young, a Fletcher- class destroyer of WW II exemplifies what her last commanding officer called, the proud tradition of valorous performance of duty in the United States navy. The ship survived Japanese Kamikaze attacks during WW II. It is now berthed at the Boston Navy Yard, and a group of volunteers spend their time and efforts trying to keep her alive. Filmed, reported and produced by Pin-Yu Chen for BU News Service.
