This is my cover of Hysteria, by Muse. I started learning this song yesterday, and I tried hard to get it mostly right, you may see one or two errors, which is common for someone who learned it 24 Hours Ago. You will also notice that I improvised over the fills after each chorus, so don't tell me that its wrong, its just improvised. I hope you enjoy it.

  • what's the absolute best bass guitar out there on the market? i'm getting into it and my budget is about $3,000.

  • The Music Man is a reliable choice if you've got a lot of money. I plan on getting one when I get more money. However, if you wanna be flashy or like RHCP then I'd go with a Modulus Flea Bass because those are also pretty awesome.

  • damnn, how did you get that noise? for ur bass? its easgasmic! amazing playing aswell man i saw no mistakes :)

  • Boss OD-3 Bass version. A lot of people think I used Synth but not so. You can get a pretty good sound if you mess around with your bass and OD pedal, even though Chris uses a Synth live and on the album.

  • what effect are you using? fuzz? if so what pedal to you use?

  • Boss OD-3

  • are you using 3 fingers?

  • missing some notes but ok =D

  • More legatto. And it sounds too RHCP'ish and not so museish: more overdrive, a synth envolope and compressore should solve that.

    Otherwise, good job. Thumbs up.

  • @LongBoardAlex Know it's a year late but. You just can't buy the best bass out there with "just" 3k's. Better get a decent one first (around 400-600$ for a Fender MiM) and see if you like it, a year later or so, and when you'll really into it, sell it and spend all you want in a new axe. Also keep in mind it's not just the bass (amp, cab, accessories, effects, pedals...).

  • you need to flow right. the staccato isnt working for this

  • Sweet dude, cool song, cool plaing :)

  • That's a jazz.

  • sometimes you go faster than real song, so check it out

  • love the precision! check my version out!

  • Searching for a "Stand Alone" bass riff to practice...and I find you. Thanks for the jam! ;-)
