Agreed, the Blitzstein lyrics, while good, are a little on the gentle side compared to the later by either Manheim & Willett or Sams.

well... this is from the german musical "Three penny opera" so really, it's about the character jenny from that play. But it can be applied to any angry woman's murder-fantasy (or any man's either)

This is defiantly one of those songs that you will never forget the first time you heard it. The first time I heard this it scared the living daylights out of me and stayed with me for a long while. It's such a great and vengeful jazzy piece of music, perfect for a dark October night and when your REALLY pissed off. I don't think anyone's gonna hear this type of song for a long while
