@chieuhoi88 It all depends on your liking. Venice is romantic and the thing I liked the most was the island of Burano. Florence is one of the nicest cities in the world and I really liked the Uffizi and if you like history Rome is your choice. I have visited all three places and I would choose Rome and visit Florence since is not far away (you can see all the main attractions from Florence in two days). If you stay in Rome you can reach Florence by train in only 1 1/2 hours by Eurostar (ES).

@chieuhoi88 Venice .romantic
Florence.. rich in culture and art and is the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Galileo.
Rome.. is amazing and huge with a lot of history and you need time to visit all the places and is far more worth it.

@chieuhoi88 "is venice worth seeing? a friend that went a couple years ago said much of it now is very run-down and overall it's just not that impressive,i'm trying to decide whether or not to go when in italy,i've heard florence is the way to go even more so than rome. any advice? "
I am sorry that I erased your question when I tried to edit the answer.
Here is what I think about Venice vs Florence.
