Sr. Serrano // Immut Part 1

IMMUT is a dance performance with live music that explores the different possibilities of interpretation of a certain memory when it is separated from the Memory that created it.
Our memories are made of a fickle matter, in constant change. We amass images with pretention of immutability, but they change constantly: they are contaminated by new experiences, distorted by similar memories, combed by time and oblivion. And though, to fight against this constant alteration and against the inexorable expiry of memories is something that defines ourselves as species. Even if we know that this fight is, by nature, futile and doomed to failure.
IMMUT reflects on that fight to keep immutable the memories through a choreographic piece that expresses itself censoring change and movement in favor of what remains, but that, at the end, anyway vanishes.
IMMUT is the first fruit of M, a creative process that has to produce, also, a theater piece (MEMO, April 2010) and an interactive installation (in 2010).


Immut es una pieza de danza con creación sonora en directo donde se exploran las diversas posibilidades de interpretación de un determinado recuerdo cuando éste se encuentra desvinculado de la memoria que lo creó. Nuestros recuerdos están hechos de una materia voluble, en movimiento constante. Las imágenes que atesoramos con voluntad inmutable, no dejan de cambiar. Pero luchar contra este cambio y contra la inexorable caducidad del recuerdo es, sin embargo, una tarea que nos define a pesar de que resulte ser una lucha estéril, desesperante, perdida de antemano.
Immut reflexiona sobre esta lucha para mantener inmutables los recuerdos a partir de una pieza coreográfica que se expresa censurando el cambio y el movimiento en favor de aquello que perdura, pero que acaba desvaneciéndose.
Immut es el primer fruto de M, un proceso creativo que ha de producir durante el 2010 Memo (una pieza escénica de medio formato) y In Memoria (una instalación interactiva).
