apparently you need a 8gb card but it worked fine with my 4gb card and i still had 1gb memory free

Is there any way to recover N900? It seems i bricked it...and now my N900 won't turn on, that Uboot thing pops up and turns off my phone.

is a memory card neccessary for this or can we partition the onboard memory?

@360NextLevel yes as its not easy nor wise to repartition the internal flash (and memory cards are cheaper if they die than 32gb of nand flash will be
