New Jersey Transit Exclusive! : The New Dual Powered Locomotive, Bombardier's ALP-45DP Is Unveiled!

Seen here is an exclusive video of Bombardier's ALP-45DP showing off all of its glory in Newark-Penn Station. Also seen here are clips of the ALP-45DP being coupled onto GP40PH-2B 4209 and being pulled out of the station by ALP-46A 4645 with ALP-46A 4664 trailing.

These engines will be replacing some of the older diesel engines as these will be to run with and without the catenary wires. This is a new generation of Dual Powered locomotives which will be making its in-service debut really soon!

@Caitsith810 I have reason to believe that the first ALP-45DP locomotives will be put into regular service over the summer to early fall this year.

@Roboman2121 - I think it would be early fall, there would be a lot of extensive testing going on during the summer to see how they will run.
