As much as I love 'em, I don't think any of the classic muscle cars ran 12s in stock form, and damn few would break into the 13s. Tires were a big limiting factor. Sure, some magazines had tests with faster times, but most of those cars were ringers, specially supplied by the manufacturer for testing. Using 4:10 or 4:30 rear ends helped, but made for an unpleasant trip for anything more than 25 miles or so.

@hobbeekid They're on street tires, these cars are by no means slow....but they aren't exactly at a drag strip. More like they're just fuckin' around

these cars weren'[t meant to handel in the corners,they are built for straight line racing.poor build? these cars are top of the line find my friend.15 sec?not. they were made to do 13 from the factory. aftermarket headers, carb and tires 11sec.

CTS is that another of the failing GM brands of the new improved era? I wonder how many CTS's will be around in 40 yrs. OH yea they really turn heads also,about as much as a 1992 grand-am
