Ready to be put on a drive gear, my differential is of the open type. Apply power and both wheels would spin at their own rate, because of the front and back planetary wheels :)

not really..my diff would work just fine in there..any diff would..you dont need a big ass diff 2 fit in a big ass car...

i've found that no matter what type of differential i use that's open, no matter what gearing, at 80mph it tears apart. That or it's HUGE and doesn't work well. Meanwhile, an LSD you can weld-latch plates together to ensure different levels of torque transfer, from a soft to a hard lockup, depending on terrain. I've worked before on an offroad truck that uses an LSD and a four-speed tranny (well, 3+O) and the entire drivetrain worked WONDERFULLY (the four speed tranny was unusual but worked!)

actually....you dont need a limited slip diff unles sur doign hard core offroading where your tires are in the air all the time...opens work jsut fien but yeah..its to big...my diff acordign to lots of ppl who comment on my vids and all of my friends on steam...is the strongest differential in garrysmod at the current time....

and those aren't planetary gears, they're bevel gears. wtf? Have you ever tried an LSD--limited slip differential? Far smaller and easier to make, 3 props only.
