  • codpiece, check the net for more info on Sierra retracts. They are the best made on the market, I believe the wing would fold before the retracts would collapse on a hard landing. Plane has now flown many times with great success.

  • you just need to modify the speed on the retracts. There a little fast. ;-)

  • The retracts are set to close with the wings upside up, not downside up like in the vid. They are pneumatically powered, and quite hefty, so they slow down with the help of gravity ;)

  • of course it would collapse in a hard landing. that's common sense you retard. no gear can withstand a hard landing. that's why you make it a soft landing. it's like saying microwaving cheese for too long will make it melt. of course it's gonna melt.

  • they will probably collapse in a hard landing

  • Nice, I have the Century Jet retracts for my H9 Hellcat, similar in design on how they retract. I just need to find time to install them now lol.

  • How does she fly? What engine are you running? Thanks...Norm.

  • retracting goes a bit slow right? but then again the gear itself looks very realistic!

  • If that's the CMP model, I'd like to know how you managed to mount your engine. I bought the .40 sized one, and the only mounts were the shitty ones built into the fiberglass. We were breaking in an OS .55 engine and the mounts practically disintegrated. Don't know if that's a problem with every model or if ours was a fluke.
