  • Peter, you will enjoy the multi engine plane. P-38 makes a great looking model. You have lots of good videos on your YouTube channel. Lou

  • I live in Tucson and we have a C/L field with 3 asphalt circles. Unfortunately we have lost quite a few of our older scale builders and now scale is dominated by profile scale. It's OK I guess but just doesn't have the same feel as full scale. I assume that is a Royal kit. What are the engines? I'm building an A-26 Invader at 70" with a pair of OS .30s. Are there many scale builders in your area? Bill

  • @earlyhemibill I think you are right about it being a Royal kit. It ios powered by four O S 25 engines. The builder Ed Mason travels all the way from Florida to fly in our scale contest each Sept. There is a video from 2010 event. Look in my list calmat2 and you will see Ed flying this year. Also he won a special award in Muncie this year at the nats. Not a lot of scale activitie here but we do have one scale champ Frank Beatty who does very detailed planes and always designs his own models.

  • Where is Buder park?

  • @earlyhemibill Buder Park is a St Louis County Park just Northeast of the intersection of Interstate 44 and Mo State highway 141. It has a great model flying field for control line and radio control model planes.

  • What is the biplane with the lower wing suspended below the fuselage? When I first saw the cowling I though it was a Goshawk until the rest of the model came up on the screen. Bill

  • @calmat2 Is that the same Frank Beatty who designed the C/L Doulglass D-558-1 Skystreak sometime back around 1970? If, I drew a set of plans for the same plane using his drawings. It was about 50" with a pair of Fox .29s for the tip tanks. Will build it someday I hope. Bill
