I'm not sure how old your son is. But when I was between 1 - 1.5 yrs i refused to sleep in my crib. I didnt have a TV or any distractions like that. I would just lie down on the floor and sleep on the carpet. My parents ended up putting me in a bed with a rail on it. Try eliminating distractions like TV from his room first. Who knows? Maybe he is ready for a bed. Hope this helps.

What you should do is take the tv out of his room. Then put him to bed and walk out. If he manages to get out of the crib again and come out of his room, just put him back in and leave. If he falls, hopfully it will be enough to stop him from climbing out of his crib. Just incase, put some pillows down on the floor.
