The band that started East Coat Metal. While Kiss was just starting being Kiss, George Rumble, Kelly James, Bill Matson, and the late Tommy Carter started creating a new sound and look that would later become what the world saw in Motley Crue's Live Wire video. Often robbed of every lick and trick in the book, The Dead End Kids audience often included Twisted Sister, The Ramones, The NY Dolls, Ace Frehley, Black Sabbath and Dio members, and just about anyone who heard what this ground breaking band was doing and had to see them. The band was satisfied with a very lucrative club schedule, and could practically demand any price, even playing multiple nights in a row, on the same block in different clubs, they would pack the places. Not many videos exist, and the ones that do show the band in very early incarnations often doing cover songs. Tom Keifer from Cinderella, Ritchie Scarlett, Bonnie Parker, myself and a thousand others want to thank them. You created each and every one of us.

Younger, newer bands followed them through the twilight of thier heyday, and one even took on the name Roughhouse , They tried to do what they did but made fools of themselves, and were really just guys that liked to wear makeup
