ed macy was the one who lept out of the apache with "geordie" "darwin", "FOG" "the boss" Billy, Charlotte, "Nick", charlottes apache claimed "winchester" which meant she had used up ALL ammunition, Billy landed with 80lb of fuel left, roughly only a few seconds before the helicopter's rotors stopped and the engine cut out, these facts are from Ed Macy's book which he wrote about the event, read it, educate yourselves on what our guys would do for us, and god bless lance corporal Matthew Ford

The female Apache pilot supporting this rescue expended every piece of ammunition she had including four Hellfires at eighty grand each !!!

The greatest of respect to all of you who was involved in this rescue. Irrespective of the outcome, it's good to know that no-one will be left behind. R.I.P Marine Ford.
