TKD is very old it was originally taught to korean nobility called the Hwarang-do. it was taught to fight/unify the kingdoms in korea at the current time by sillia the smaller of the 3 it became a popular sport called Taekkyon but when the japanese took over korea in 1909-1945 it was banned after the war the masters who practiced under secrecy had deffernt forms and styles but unified it and called it currently Tae Kwon Do and so it goes on into crapy sparing today in the olympics

I like this video because it is good to remind students, TaeKwonDo is not just about defense, but about wisedom.. I love TaeKwonDo and my Master is an Excellent teacher. We work just as hard on the hands as we do for the foot.. many school, dont even bother with the hands. I have balance of defense because my Teacher is well rounded.
