Here is the 1st guitar part for MLW. I put it up for my duo partner to play along with but it's available for all. I have capoed to the 2nd fret and synched the video with the recording from the Zoom H2. Reverb was added. It's played at 1/4 note = 120. Enjoy

  • Nicely played! What program are you using to sync both the audio and video files together?

  • @MSumodobila Thanks! I'm using Adobe Audition CS5.5. I started out a decade ago with Cool Edit Pro and when Adobe bought them out I didn't feel like learning a new system. It does a pretty good job.

  • Unfortunately, I can't help you much. I've only tested the Zi8 on the guitar. You can't go wrong with the H2, however. I wouldn't be afraid of going the route of synching it with a video cam. Unless you're in real need of HD, the Q3 seems like the way to go. One warning... as fast as technology is progressing, what do you think the odds are that once you buy a Q3...two months later they come out with an HD version??!!

  • Enjoyed that performance and it sounds very good. You chose to record the audio and video separately. Was that because it made the audio easier to edit or does the H2 perform better when not used as an external mic?

  • The H2 doesn't seem to work well as an external mic into the Zi8. Possibly because you're going digital to analog. So, I record separatetly an synch it with the video. Glad you liked it.
