  • Yo Keith!

This is pretty good vid but you must run trim tabs and use them or you could develope some serious handling problems at high speed. Believe me! Bin there, Dun that. Anyway, PM or E-mail me, I just got two 470 Mercruisers fired uo today for the first time since '06 and the owner loves me. Thats what I do for a living, wake up big boats with twin engines or restore my own vintage-antique outboards.

By the way, I have a fresh '58 18 horse Johnson and a '56 15 Evinrude comin up to race!

  • @mumbles552 Do i know you? Not my boat its a friend of a member's boat I just went for a ride in it. Thats awesome that you restore vintage boats! I just built a 9 foot tunnel hull that needs to be rigged up

  • Looks like fun Keith, but does it ever smooth/trim out?

  • @dkruitz haha nope! Faster it goes the more it porpoises. Hence the violent camera shake. It was a bit scarier for me as I could only hold onto the bar on the floor of the boat as my other hand was holding the camera.

  • Nice ride, Where was that?

  • Keith - Thanks for the video! This is the first time I have seen my skiff underway (I have always been behind the wheel). It was acturally built in 1967 - 1969, and raced in 1970 as JS-66 "Mr. Illegal" Propguys- Yes that was the prop you did repair work on, but this was about a month before I dinged it up.

  • Hey!

Was that run with the prop we did over for you? Check out the pics on the Bayview Marine Youtube page of your boat. It was great meeting you and a real pleasure seeing your boat in person.

  • Great to see our old boat... miss it when it was brain tumor... hope to see you at thunder on shrewsbury
