The Dell E6400 XFR and the Panasonic ToughBook 30 have both passed the MIL-STD for drop....
...on "plywood over concrete."
Let's see what happens when we take away the plywood.
XFR vs. ToughBook (Touch Displays)
Test:
3 Foot Drop on Concrete
26 Total Non-Operational Drops
(All Sides, Edges, Corners)
Operational Test Between Each Drop
I would get the dell for perfomance(speed)and the tough book for durability

you know, I have to say, while the outter screen cracked on drop 18 for the tough book, the actuall screen itself still functioned correctly, and the system still booted every time ....
This must have been paid for by dell .... :D
