Piesa "The Balkan Girls", interpretată de Elena Gheorghe (ex-Mandinga) şi compusă de Laurenţiu Duţă, va reprezenta România la cea de-a 54-a ediţie a concursului Eurovision, în luna mai, la Moscova, după ce a câştigat, finala selecţiei naţionale a concursului.
Piesa "The Balkan Girls", compusă de Laurenţiu Duţă, a fost aleasă câştigătoarea selecţiei naţionale a Eurovision în urma însumării punctajelor obţinute după realizarea clasamentelor juriului şi al televotului. Juriul a fost cel care a adus punctajul câştigător piesei, care în urma televotingului s-a clasat pe locul doi, după melodia "Dear Mama", compusă de Costi Ioniţă şi interpretată de trupa Blaxy Girls.

"The Balkan Girls" a primit punctaj maxim din partea a şase dintre cei nouă membri ai juriului.
