  • Go see Further with Bob and Phil!

  • This 2 disc DVD set is well worth the money, both discs are loaded with never seen music & interview, behind the scenes & jamming footage. AWESOME is an understatement.

  • @gmj2012 You asked "who is the guy with the long ponytail (not lead singer nor Gerry) playing guitar? I thought he was Phil, lol, now I'm totally lost. Help please, since you seem to know these guys by name. I just watched this on DVD last night, best music purchase...full of the most amazing live footage ever."

    Lead, Jerry Garcia

    Rhythm, Bob Wier (Pony tail)

    Bass, Phil Lesh

    Drums Bill Kreutzman

    Piano, Keith Godchaux

    Lead Vocal, Pigpen Ron McKernan

  • I wish so much i could have been alive and old enough to have been a part of this scene. What a great time in history. To have seen the Dead in the early years would hav e been so awesome- I'm so glad that the Dead were recorded so much, that I can hear as much as i want today! Thanks to all the tapers and everyone who made it possible for us folks born a touch too late!

  • @shishimore The answer is an enthusiastic yes... Being Copenhaagen though, it could have been hash in tobacco as was the custom at the time in Europe. I doubt he was smoking hand rollies..
