@19peter96 Yeah, if he really believes what he's saying, then he most likely believes that. In fact, he blamed the DC sniper incident on Halo, claiming that a terrorist used the game to trick a kid into killing people. Ridiculous.

@nerftendo005 Plus most of those crimes wern't related to games or gamers anyway. I bet Jack Thompson thinks that if you go to a terrorist training camp in the middle east they just let you play counter strike for a few weeks...

@dtpheif Yeah, terrorism came into reality before it came into video games. Plus, if someone is stupid enough to mimmick ANYTHING they see, then it's their problem.
Jack Thompson claimed that "dozens" of people played video games and then committed crimes, when MILLIONS of people play violent games on a regular basis. 12 is only about 0.00001% of 1,000,000. So we should ban games because 0.00001% of people play them and then commit crimes? Ridiculous.

I find it funny how he blames every school shooting on Counter Strike, and he blames GTA for crime, when crime came FIRST. What's he going to do next, blame Modern Warfare 2 and sue Infinity Ward as soon as a shooting occurs at an airport?

If any adult was really stupid enough to mimic things in video games, wouldn't he/she mimic things in movies as well? Why does Jack focus completely on video games? They're not simulators, that's just a bunch of crap that he made up. Pressing buttons on a controller is nothing like cocking, reloading, aiming, and firing guns in real life. So what if you control what a character does on screen? That doesn't make it realistic, or at least not anywhere near enough to be classified as a "simulator".
