South African singer and political activist Miriam Makeba sings Khawuleza on a Swedish TV show from 1966/67. This song features on the album AN EVENING WITH BELAFONTE/MAKEBA, which won them both a Grammy Award in 1966. Miriam Makeba sadly passed away in November 2008.

I first heard Miriam Makeba when I was about 22. My SO brought home an album of hers in about 68 or 69, soon after this was filmed. It was one of the first things that feuled what turned out to be a life-long interest in true folk music.
