The most beautiful thing about this song is that it appeals to a broad range of listeners.
1.) The historians.
2.) The song-writers (let's face it: it's a GREAT song.)
3.) The lovers (Yeah. I said it. Any brother out there with a lover living x-miles away feels this one like no other.)
I don't usually cry in the face of... well, anything... but I've been known to shed a tear or two to this one.

@fillip27 Dave and his wife Bridgett (fiddle/tin whistle) are Irish, Denis (electric guitar) is from New York, Bob (banjo/mandolin) is from California, George (drums) is from Ohio, Nathan (bass) is also from California (I'm pretty sure) , and Scolby (i think that's his name, he's on the accordion) is from California. And together they create the greatest band of all time.

One of the greatest songs I've ever listened to.
Thank you for putting such effort into this vid. I'm sure I'll return to it over and over. Well done, impressive, where did you find the old pics and the coin and bottles?

i did a search for the song a while back and the only video for it had pictures of football and such stuff in it. i had a lot of spare time so i decided to make this to help capture some of the meaning! the pics are from many internet searches and some of my own.
