Nice car, for unfortunate, it wasn't sold here in Brazil because it would be necessary an utterly new plant for Ford, so it choosen for the Maverick instead of the Taunus although Chevrolet used to offer the Rekord C as its rival.

Mit diesem Clip erinnere Ich einen rustigen Taunus1600L -73, die ich in 1988 gekauft habe. Der Schalthebel hatte eine Kunststoffgewinde und einmal kam das ganze Ding weg, so Ich musste ein neues Hebel auf dem Schrott kaufen.

@joh2 Yeah my thoughts exactly, the front-end of the Taunus looks exactly like the face-lifted version of the MK3 cortina.

The intriguing thing here is that while the car closely resembles the Ford Cortina Mk3 (both cars had the same platform) it was a different bodyshell, the Mk3 having more of a cokebottle look to it...
