May 12 2009 Hail Storm

Finally storms formed in the area. I had to go about 10 miles inland and wait for the action to start. It sure didn't dissapoint! The storm formed in mintues and quickly turned severe. I called in the severe weather, hail and winds to the National Weather Service and shorty a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for the area in which I was. The best hail video I got here in years.

Nope. Panama City Beach, Florida. Every once and a while we get some hail.

Cool posting you did on this awesome hailstorm video of 5/12/09...I got some awesome videos of big Tstorms from upstate NY in Endicott...and some impressive audiotaped-Tstorms form NW Conn.... I have also videos of some nice Tstorms from near Tampa too. BTW..even here in southern RI..I do have some awesome Tstorms videotaped..wanna see my 7/1/09 video?

Florida gets mostly cloud to ground lightning. I like anvil crawlers. You did get some awsome lightning footage but Im suprized you got hail. I stayed in Tampa for 3 weeks and never got hail. I live upstate NY and we had penny size hail during a severe thunderstorm about a week ago and Sounthern Conneticut had tornado warnings. Awsome vid 5 stars.
