When you slo mo the video, it distorts the sound. So it's impossible to say. He probably made it and the sound of the ball going in the pocket got distorted with an echo effect.
Sure, Archer and Souquet are technically superb. Hohmann might fall in there as well. Parica... I don't know, I guess? If you don't think Hall was first class, technically, you're kidding yourself.
As to the bit about Reyes, it was just a comment. If you don't think Hall was ever great, w/e. I'm not here to convince you.
I've never said Hall was anything but a superb player in his own right, you're completely twisting my words around. I'm merely saying his bridge is by no means short by any standard.
And let's just say Parica is up on Reyes (and pretty much everyone for that matter) all-time.
FYI, my original comment was: long bridges aren't necessarily a bad thing at all. As far as I'm concerned, you're not disagreeing with me in the least.
Yeah, long bridges allow the player to take more shots w/o the bridge. They're generally a good thing. If they weren't, then skillful players wouldn't gravitate towards them so.
But saying bad players have short bridges isn't really true. Bad players have long bridges too.
The theory behind longer bridges allow the player to sight better, especially when using a closed bridge. The downside, however, since the pivot point is further back, any impurity in stroke is magnified.
And while there are bad players with long bridges, there are simply less of them because of the fact that it's... well, more difficult as aforementioned.
