SRV Tone (Love Struck Baby)

Video went a bit funny at the start and I cocked the lead up too :( But I'm quite happy with the tone on this. Just using the Super Reverb this time with the guitar on position 2. SR settings are
Bright Off :)
Bass 10
Middle 7
Treble 5.5
Vol 2.5

Are your recommended amp settings for this song only or all SRV songs? Lenny is one of my favorite songs and I've been trying to find that sound on my Super. Thanks!

I have found that you need to just find the amp's sweet spot and then you just use the pickup selector, tone and volume on the guitar to change the feel. This song is a real chugga chugga song and definitely needs a Tubescreamer and that number 2 in between position on the pup selector.

Hey thanks! I just keep listening - and then watching Stevie and if i get really stuck i turn to tabs. I find you get a better feel if you try and learn solos from listening rather than from tabs. But that's mainly coz when I started learning guitar I only had a cassette tape recorder - there was no internet and defintely no tabs!

I wouldn't say it's a big difference. The VV needs a lot more work to get the tone dialled in and definitely sounds at its best when it is cranked up (about 6 + on the volume). THe Super just sounds awesome wherever the vol knob is.
