A grass field would be nice vs rocks and shipping containers but you've got to work with what you have. If you strapped a camera to that you'd have a UAV that's good for gathering intelligence and both distracting and impressing your enemies. It's been 4 years since this post so hope you're still flying. Have fun and thank you for you're service.

@venquessa actually they do, Explosive Ordinance Disposal(EOD) has a whole array of rc cars with specific missions. I actually fly radio contolled planes for the marine corps. technically called UAVs but still, same idea
