Degrassi: Welcome Home

Whoa...did I just make a 4-and-a-half minute video...in one day? That must be some new record for me. Amazing, how much I can get done when I have a bio lab I don't feel like doing ;)

Okay, so I feel a bit nervous uploading this video, mainly because I love this song to bits and I'm so worried I didn't use it to its full potential with this video. I was actually originally thinking of pairing this song with Harry Potter, but then I realized there were already about 10 HP videos with this song made. So, naturally, my next choice was Degrassi. With this video, I tried to display more of a "home is where the heart is" type of message. I focused a lot on the relationships on the show - couples, friends, siblings, parents, children...the people who bring eachother happiness, home; a sense of belonging. So, despite how (surprisingly) quickly I was able to make this, I did really work hard on it and I really wanted it to be perfect. But, as with almost everything I make, it didn't quite turn out how I envisioned. Still, I hope you all like it!

Also; I just wanted to explain the quote I used (from Craig) in the middle of the video. It might seem a bit strange or out-of-place, but what I was trying to show with it is that everyone, at one point or another, feels insignificant, unimportant, worthless...and they may feel like nobody cares. But there will always be someone out there looking out for you, caring for you, there to make you feel at home wherever you may be.

I think the best thing about this video is you removed any bias at all for any ships, you recognized those moments when everyone had those moments of loving and being loved with more than just one person and everyone had those feelings of being lost, loved, and what it felt like to come home, and what home actually was...
