My favorite part though is actually the moment he runs back to the screwdriver and yells "why would I do that?!" For some reason I find that so much more exciting that him realizing he saved her and more than him running back. Just that moment of frantic thought on the brink of realizing he may be able to save someone's life and he just has to put it together. *chilllllllsssssssss*

She did sacrifice herself for the doctor in Let's Kill Hitler and gave him all her future regenerations, also she wouldn't have time to regenerate, which is why she took his place in the first time, because he would've died, too.

This is one of the best examples of how good Moffat can be, how he can write with poetry and power. He's got his (considerable) faults, but this? Is magnificent.
