Yankee Stadium in New York, New & Old, Feb 2010

During my trip to New York, I decided I had to check out Yankee Stadium. Yankee Stadium is in the Bronx. We had major trouble figuring out the subway system on our way here. We took many wrong trains and ended up just walking there. The old classic Yankee Stadium is right next to the new one. They were tearing the old one down when I was there. Crazy to think how much history was in that stadium, Babe Ruth played there, and now it's all coming down. We finally figured out the subway and headed up the ramp to catch the #4 Train back to Manhattan. From the platform you can see both stadiums!! Although I do not like the Yankees, this was a must-see on my trip to the big apple.

I didn't realize the old stadium is so close to the new one! What a shame to take down a stadium with so much history, but the new one is beautiful! How lucky for you that you were able to get to NY in time to see both side by side! Great video.
