brooke&peyton | 5x01 the epic contest (ann-amber)

Defining moment contest:

I don´t think I´m good with words, but I will try to describe why I feel this video represents a defining moment for me as a vidder but mostly as a person. It´s not because everyone remembers it, or cause I´ve got a million comments.

It´s because while I was making it, I came to a realization. A personal one. Something I hadn´t though about before. And that is that I didn´t really know who I was anymore or maybe I never knew who I was in the first place. This is very private, but after making this, I started to search for myself, to be less afraid of doing anything.

I listened to the voiceovers so many times, what Peyton said, what Brooke said. And I just felt so inspired but so sad at the same time. I mean I didn´t know who I was, how sad is that?

When it was done, I just felt like I had created something that represented me in some way. Like I could create emotions, and make someone cry or not even that.. Just help someone who was going through something like Peyton or Brooke were. They were both so broken, with so many issues to solve.

When Brooke tells Peyton how she doesn´t believe money, celebrity, succes or the way you look (etc.) are enough to be happy. People may say this is only a Teen drama with no deep content, but come on, this voiceover is so incredibly deep. It just makes you realize how supperficial things don´t matter if you don´t have love. And I know it´s a cliche to say that but it doesn´t make it any less true. And like Brooke says it can be any kind of love. Love makes us all happy, and when you don´t have it, you feel like all the things you do are not worth it. Some people (including myself) take love for granted, just because it´s not the love they are hoping for. It´s like you have your family love or your friends love and it´s not what you want. What you want is someone to fall in love with you. It is what we all want, but we get so blinded by it that sometimes we forget all the love that is around us. So after making this video, I started to apreciate the love I already had more.

Onto the video, the lyrics go well with the theme of the video. Both Brooke & Peyton come undone during that phone conversation and I feel like they had been waiting and being trapped for a long time to do that.

So after all this rambling, I believe this video can make someone come to mine or maybe to their own realizations and can inspire them to be better.

this is my entry for the epic contest by MCCMProductions (which is awesome) I think this scene is EPIC. It gets me everytime. The acting is breathtaking! These are actually 2 scene combined, so I will ask if it´s ok for me to enter it XD

I hope you all like it, I wanted to fix some things but as you all know.. I hate rendering videos twice, so I hope you still like it!
