This video of Pastor Gino was sent to me by a UPC pentecostal who thinks speaking in tongue is mandatory as a sign of salvation, and God is one in unitarian way, and not trinitarian way.
I hope you believe in trinity as taught by Roman Catholics and main line protestants.
@truthofjesus4all I believe in the Trinity not three Gods. Check out hebrew 4 christians
The God of Abraham/Israel use Elohim and El in the Bible. Elohim is plural and El is singular. Both are used with a singalur verb. Fact. The Shema has 3 names for God with 3 parts while the Rabbi pray with 3 fingers making the Hebrew character Shin. The Bible says God never changes.
It is possible that Jews convinced themselves that Elohim is plural for three names. It is god-incidence (not co-incidence) that they chose three.
The trinity refers to three persons within the God. Turtullian defines the person very nicely. Thus trinity refers to absolute ONE GOD (no plural) and yet points to unity within God.
Misunderstanding about Trinity causes questions. Do not be captive of your knowledge...
Just because some people are raised Hebrew does not make them authority. In fact Muslims argue in your line to support native Arabic speaker as authentic interpreter of Quran.
If Elohim is to point to gods then it is not pointing to ONE god. Can you understand that? unity or no unity, there is only one God. That is trinity. There are no three gods. So if u want to literally understand Elohim as plural than it is blasphemy
:) Do not be confused by use of name Jesus, son of Mary. The God, the Son is eternally coexisting with the Father that is what J1.1 says. It does not refer to Son of Man Jesus.
So when Trinitarians are saying Jesus is God, they are not raising a man to God's level but recognizes God, the Son walking on earth.
@truthofjesus4all Elohim is Gods in Hebrew. It is used for the God of Israel and false gods. In one context Elohim is used with singular verb when speaking of the God of Israel. Wait, God also use El or God when speaking about God of Israel. To say there is no purpose is to deny God or to take out context is to redefine his word.
Jews for Jesus,Dr Micahel Brown, and Zola Levitt are Jew who converted. Maybe some who was raised with Hebrew might be authority of it.
@truthofjesus4all J1.1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1 J 5:7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.
Jesus is the Word. Jesus is God with God per the scriptures above.
:) names of God does not point to plurality... it simply manifest certain attribute or characteristic of God...
To think that Elohim points to plurality then it means there are more that three gods because eloah changes to plural elohim for three or MORE. So if one want to play numbers, he can go beyond 3. The context of elohim does not suggest God is hinting plurality.
@truthofjesus4all The previous posting about the Zohar was Judaism response to the Shema, D6.4. The Shema has 3 names of God in the first verse with 3 parts. They pray the Shema with 3 fingers making the Hebrew character Shin.
The second principle of Judaism is based on the Shema. This principle direct from the web. is: 2. The belief in G-d's absolute and unparalleled unity.
All facts. God only needs one name. Everything God does
