  • Putting on the foil.

  • @MTZirg He wasn't in the NHL. He was playing for Edmonton who, at the time, was in the WHA.

  • He hit that man into the boards HARD. But what sportsmanship, huh? Making sure he was ok. I'm sure he didn't hit him head-first like that on purpose.

  • @krokus69

your cousin was a mad man..lol

  • Your memories serve you correctly. Actually, Jack had been called up by the Oilers (who were in the WHA at that point) for the playoffs. He was playing for them when Slap Shot began filming. That's why Dave Hanson stepped in to be Jack in the movie, and Jerry Houser (an actor) became Dave "Killer" Carlson.

  • I remember Jack during his North Star years, I think he had a contract problem with Edmonton that kept him from being in slapshot.

  • was this hartford civic center or boston garden or springfield era...?

  • My cousin Gord Gallant played in the WHA with the Fighting Saints and others....does anybody have anything at all with Gordy on video...Plz contact me on You Tube my handle is Krokus69...........Thanks

  • Jack was in the NHL making a real pay-check. Don't feel sorry for him.

  • 2 out of 3 Hanson Brothers on the same team. Except Jack couldn't make the filming of slapshot. Bummer! Would've been awesome.
