Big Guppy dropping fry. Giving birth

This is my largest female guppy dropping a load of fry.
She gave birth to about 40-50 in about an hour or two.
I've managed to transfer 30 to another breeding tank.
In the tank with the big guppy are also some platy fry which are about 3-4 weeks old and a few guppy fry which just appeared.
Some of the babies actually made it through the holes in the breeding net and provided lunch for the fish in the main tank. :-(

@spongeex I always feed before they give birth so they are not hungry - it seems to work!

My guppy seems to be pregnant for years!! No im kidding but her stomach is huge but her little black spot isnt... I thought she was giving birth earlier, but it was a crap -.-

For some reason, when I bought 3 female guppies for my fish tank, I never thought that they were pregnant or about to give birth (the store I bought from separated their guppies by gender) but within days after I brought them home, all three of them gave birth! Now I have 20+ baby guppies swimming in my tank. I'm just worried that their not growing as fast as what other people say they should be. Nevertheless, I still love them all!

@laceymay611 Unfortunately yes. And that's how they get eaten sometimes. But the breeder box does save most of them.

Hey ur guppy birthing net is da same as mine but mine didn't have dat glass or plastic thing at da bottom, mine was all net under it!!

Can u tell me if u put it there or it cam with it??
