Mamalu Mamalu O Papalu Papalu - MAHA SHAKTIMAAN (1985)

This is one of those rare amazing songs which disappeared in the golden 80s era. I am sure that most people have never heard of this movie. Maha Shaktimaan was released as a 3D action movie back in 1985 and this song from the movie struck me really hard when I saw it in a theatre back then. I was really blown by this stunning song sung so well by great Asha Bhosle. This really has to be one of her greatest songs ever. Even I don't remember this movie so well apart from that Raj Babbar was the main hero (maybe a prince) and had a special type of sword which was his biggest strength while Danny Denzongpa was the villian along with Ranjeet. Also there was some monster like creature which I think was actually Ranjeet who turns into a monster and back to human also and maybe the name of that creature was Betaal. Another thing is that I don't think that this movie was made for kids as it may appear for some from the name "Shaktimaan". In fact if I try to remember this song in the movie, it was quite a stunning song featuring Meenakshi Sheshadri looking quite sexy and beautiful and maybe Raj Babbar's hands were tied to some thing in a palace and Danny Denzongpa was sitting on his throne as a king, watching Meenakshi Sheshadri dancing to this song, looking really stunning. Back in 1985 when I saw this movie I became a big fan of Raj Babbar and Meenakshi Sheshadri. Unfortunately, this movie wasn't a big hit and it disappeared from people's memory in a few years after it's release in 1985. Still I think it was really a great movie and needs to be seen by most people who love 80s hindi movies. Please note that this video is not taken from the movie as even after searching everywhere, I could not find this movie's dvd/vcd anywhere as no company has released this rare gem yet. I have compiled this song using pics from many 80s movies starring Raj Babbar, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Ranjeet and Danny Denzongpa with the audio of this song I found on the net. I really hope that everyone enjoys this song as it also took quite an effort from me.

Dear Friend, I love 80s music and the films. I have also seen this film on the 2nd day of its release on VIDEO prevelant and popular at that time. At the same time, an another 3D Film of Jaicki Shroof "Shiva ka Insaaf" was also released. Really this is an amazing song sung by legend Asha ji. The Music Director Bappi Lahiri was at best during this period. Every song of Bappi Das is still having Freshness. Someone please upload this movie as I also want to memorize my old days -ANIL KATARIA
