That´s a sick throw there! I think this is better than Bolts 9.58 at the 100 dash. But i think it´s impossible too compare these 2. They doesen´t do the same thing so it´s hard too say. (excuse me for my spelling) /swedish

@TheDrewpdog 98,48m is better.. google it!
-
cant find this with sounds/better quality?

Even if someone in a near future breaks this record (Doubt it considering Thorkildsen is almost 7 meter behind with his PB) he still has the record of 52 throws over the 90 meter line. Which is more than the rest of the throwers 90 m throws combined. I am only counting the throws with the modern javelin btw.

funny thing is, 2 years ago (when he was already retired) he threw 85m to show how to throw to his students ;D

Anyone have any idea what present javelin throwers need to practise to actually reach up to Zelezny's level?

@Tiriltoget Thorkildsen doesn't have the potential to even reach 95 meters, nor does anyone else who is currently competing in the javelin. Who knows, maybe in 10-15 years we will see someone who has this kind of potential, it's rather unlikely but lets hope so!

@Tiriltoget It's a lot easier to beat Bolts record (both of them...) than throwing the javelin 98.48m, you can do the math, 'we' are almost 10% off the world record mark in the javelin, that is an absolutely massive margin.

@soulyrasheed It can't stay forever. No record does. Even Bolt's will be beaten at some point.
what is better? 98.48 in the javelin or 9.58 in the 100M? lets just say bolt is as good at the 100m as zelezny is at the javelin.

He's the best. I vouch for the Finnish though, but he's the all-time best.
