Fates also detailed how 5 hours before the broadcast Daly blocked Fates' booking of Mike Wallace as the mystery guest and how Fates booked Davis at the last minute for that appearance.
Bright perky girl reporter Kilgallen wrote for the Journal American a rather unflattering article about that incident. Daly felt misquoted and misrepresented and did not speak to Dorothy outside WML for 6 months.
