I have a unique situation of having the buccal side wall deteriation in my molar #19. My dentitst advice was to have a smaller diameter implant in the site. I worry about the force of bit because of the molar using a small implant; longivity issue. How is the width bone expansion work in this case?

I was a smoker and I spoke to my Dentist about replaceing my missing upper right incisors (due to bone/gum resession). I mentioned about takeing bone from inside the mouth and he said that it would have to come from my hip. How much do'se this cost, (est $ £). will my gum tissue grow over the graft to the shape of my implants. How long will it take to graft, bone to bone before implants can be applied. Would I still be able to wear my partial denture. thx
Each situation is very unique. If the tooth is small, a narrow implant can work. Bone grafting in this area is predictable. Another option is two small implants connected to support one crown.

Grafting from the hip is rarely done anymore. I would get a second opinion. You can also use a cadaver block of bone too!
