  • Is there any difference between the shape of the two? I think i have a video but ordered a classic skin, are they the same?

  • If I am not mistaken, the older 5th gen ipod appeared to have a thin layer of clear plastic overlay on the face and screen. The Classic also has a slight tapering around the edges of the face while the 5th gen seemed more flat.

  • Hi Trent,

I am in a bit of a pickle here and I a cannot decided between the ipod classic and the 8gb tough Whats making me go for the classic is the stogage 80gbs.

Then on the other hand you have 8gb plus wifi bunch cool apps and 50€ more which is a better buy ?

  • It is all about what is most important to you:having your entire music library with you or having access to email via wifi. Unless you are able to have constant access to wifi throughout a normal day, the wifi feature for email and web browsing really won't be that worthwhile in my opinion. As a secondary player the Touch would be fine, as a primary...I think not, unless you don't mind having only a portion of your library being synced. Good luck on your decision.

  • ey trent i`ve got a question for u or anyone else that knows the answer, I was wondering if u know how i can get the old ipod video interface into the new ipod classic 80 GB?

  • I am sorry, but I do not know the answer to that.

  • i still love my 5th generation ipod:)

  • You can plug any kind of headphones you want into all iPods. The only one you sort of can't (if they're the wrong shape) is with the original iPhone.

  • I Bought A Used 5th Gen Ipod From A Friend. Not Sure Where He Got It From?

Works Fine And I Have iTunes Set Where I Can Manually Upload Music To The Ipod, But It Saying Theres About 2G Of Pictures On It, But I Cant See Them Or The Ones I Put On It!! Do You Know Of Anyway To Get This To Work?

  • I'm sorry. I meant to say "rumors." The stupid itouch doesn't recognize the word.

  • @absolon3: I have heard some dunked that the iPod Classic makes your Windows Vista crash when uploading media into the iPod. Is that true?

  • You can't

  • @dulceguera I totally agree. However...mine fell into the water a few minutes ago and now I will have to buy a Classic.

  • Trent, i have the 5th gen, I also had the classic, well 2 because one broke and the headphone jack stopped and then the screen went out. I got one from my father who had the same model and got a new one. I then figured to get the video because it is a lot better, and i think the brick game is better then the vortex brick game on the other one. What do you thinK?

  • I had the ipod classic, i just gave mine to a friend, and got the video, because the classic was really scratched, that and I had the video ipod before. love the games on it as well.
