This is Pete "Badu" Magofna's first music video release in 2004. It is the first Chamorro Rap ever to be recorded and released as a music video. Badu wrote, composed, recorded and performed this song and described it as a challenge to record the first ever Chamorro rap music video. "This a dedication to all the people of the Marianas, Cnmi, and Guam to "raise their hands and represent who they are and where they come from". It is so far the first attempt in combining Hip Hop with the vernacular, a historic endeavor. Badu is the first African/American/Chamorro to hit the Hip Hop scene. His album "Island Roots" was a big hit in the the CNMI and is a regular VJ and host for MMV. Badu writes, composes, records, and performs all his songs. Guest starring in the video are Lupe, Florence, Gary, Max, Kirk, Jenny, Antonio, Andrew, Vaia, the Kings Dancers, Walter, and MMV producer AJ Baldevia guesting on lead guitar.

@nesianboy I agree 100%. I've been here for nearly 7 months and I'm already tired of the BS. At the Liberation Parade my cousin and I almost got into a fight with some Chamorros that were drunk because I was bumped into them by another guy. Even after apologizing they still wouldn't let it go. I know I'm not full blooded but I think all of us full bread and mixed Chamorros around the globe should unite!

Nice song and video but I must say that you are not the first chamorro rapper. I've heard people rap personally and listen to cassette tapes of them rappin. So bro, you are not the first chamorro rapper. However, you got talent so just go with that and not front about being the first.
