I speech from the 7 March. I see only videos were the brigde ist plankt. As my father went over the brigde she was not plankt. Also I have found a video were Remagen is named as target for the Rhein crossing. It's the same story as in the Normandie. Hitler thinks they would the Ruhrgebiet. And they would go over the Rhein at Remagen. And this makes sence. Or why have they Pontonbrigdes on the 7 March at Remagen? But the story tells the winner, not the looser.

@transploft8 I've heard about such things. But is a movie or wiki a real witness of a battle? Here can everybody make what he wants. And for all. I have found with google an engineer who said, my God, how should we that thing repair? It was not only the damagages from the Germans. Its also from the RAF and USAF. They bomb the brigde to prevent that the Germans could back. I'm not a nazi, but I were very pleased if someone will resque me from some nazis.

@testversucher False !!! And i quote: "during WW2 one railway was covered by planks to allow truck traffic".
Ever heard of the movie, Wikipedia or Google?
Wiki and Google: "Ludendorff Bridge" .

@testversucher thank you for the truth! fucking zionist are liars

@microbioguy74 I think the holes in the bridge were not the work of the Wehrmacht but more likely the US artillery!
-
@TechnicalJaguar Very few Germans were Nazis - something many forget.

@ClassicCityCoins I bought that book at Remagen two years ago. A very good read!

@GreenCacktus More than some vehicles - a considerable amount of traffic crossed before it collapsed into the Rhine.
(I fail to see how cars and tanks can't use a railway bridge - I would imagine that in war time no entry signs for cars may be ignored!)

An excellent film - the destruction shows clearly where the lunacy of National Socialism took Germany.
Propaganda.
The Amerikans did not captured the Brigde. They build two pontoonbrigdes left and right the brigde. Because this was a railwaybrigde and it was not able for cars or tanks to pass the bridge. I know this from my father. He was there with the 11. Panzerdivision.

I hold great respect for your father, But some vehicles did manage to cross it after US army engineers patched it up to allow vehicle transport but only days later after constant Luftwaffe attack including Arado 284 jet bombers and attempts with V2 rockets it callapsed killing some US army engineers along with it.
