This is a pendulum clock using a pin wheel escapement. Tyler and I made this for our final project for ME71 at The California Institute of Technology (Caltech).

ME71 is an introductory machining and design class for Mechanical Engineering majors.

Note: The clock seems to be about 1-2 seconds slow in this video. We made some adjustments and didn't calibrate it after that. It is calibrated by moving the weight on the pendulum up or down (by moving the nuts it sits on).
It can be more accurate, though we aren't sure what the limiting factor an its accuracy is.
