Ubuntu would not boot. Used GParted to fix it. Use External Drive or Live CD. The drive would not mount on a Live CD or on an external drive until I used GParted to repair it. DBus error org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor.Failed:An operation is already pending. whitwellhigh

  • Update - I just used Gparted (which actually already came installed on Ubuntu) off of a LiveCD to fix someone's flash drive, external drive, and secondary hard drive (all Windows based). I fixed them by making them bootable again.....I love Ubuntu

  • I've had this problem in the past– used the same solution you did.

  • Dont give up. I have been on Ubuntu for over 2 years now. No problems at all.
