You should be grateful that your children can get free education and you get free health care and houses, and if you want more you have to work hard.

if they dont want to be westernisation take away the houses the cars the clothing the eduction give them back a shit load of there land so they can live their way and maybe we can lern something from them about land conservation and prevent things like the vic bush fires we can lern from them as they can lern from us lets educate each other and live in peice

My friend worked in Gove and she said the same as you that the kids mainly eat chips and soft drinks. The kids are so beautiful it's a frustrating situation and education helps. Do any of the communties have good services out there?

Then why don't you set the example and put your words into actions. Next time you see some homeless Indigenous people - invite them into your home and provide food and shelter for a period of time.

They are not forced to drive around in Toyatas or buy food at the local shop. They do so because it is easier to spend your dole money at the shop than chase a wallaby around all day. If the kids went to school, which most of them don't, they could choose and determine how and when they wanted "westernisation" and do it on their terms. Until this happens they will always be controlled rather than in control.
